Smartick Method

*We were offered a free product in exchange for our honest review*

One of the hardest subjects to find a good fit for the kids here at Loving Life Outside the Box has always been math.  We have kids who excel at math and kids who struggle with it.  So, when we were given the opportunity to test The Smartick Method, we were super excited to give it a try.

Smartick Method is a 15-minute per day computer/tablet-based math program aimed at kids ages 4-14.  It is made to be a fun addition to a math program you’re already using, as an after-school program, or something fun for the kids to do during summer break to prevent that summer slide.

We chose to use it as a stand-alone program for the last month and we were pleasantly surprised with it.  The kids loved that it only required 15 minutes a day.  They looked forward to earning their ticks for the day and using those to add fun flair to their avatars.  They really liked that after their 15-minute session, they were told how many problems they accomplished correctly in that time and that they were given the opportunity to fix the ones they got wrong.  I liked that the program isn’t aligned to state standards and there’s no common core, just common sense.  I also like that I was kept in the loop.  I was sent an email every day when the kids finished their work and notified if they tried to skip out of it.

Smartick was a great experience and I’m glad we were given the opportunity to try it out.  If you’d like a free trial to see what the Smartick method is all about, please click the image below.
