Mom’s Day Out

Yesterday, I had my first, real, just-for-me doctor’s appointment in half a decade.  The last time a physician looked over this amazing body of mine was at A.B.’s 6-week post-natal check-up in December 2011.  So, I decided to employ my teenagers to watch over the house and our sweet A.B., and go alone.  A-L-O-N-E.

Interestingly enough, that wasn’t my first thought.  My original plan was to get everyone up super-early, make the two-hour drive to the hospital, survive the physical, and go field-tripping afterwards.

While washing dishes the other day, it hit me that I really don’t need an audience for a pap smear.  And so thus, I ended up rocking Mom’s Day Out.  If, like me, you haven’t been out in the wild alone since you can’t even remember when, make it happen.  Seriously.  If you don’t have a house full of teenagers you can tag to watch over things, call on a relative or that friend who’s left a gazillion open offers on the table to watch your adorable tribe of littles.  If they offered, they probably meant it, so take them up on it.

Drop me a line and let me know what you chose to do with you very own Momma’s Day Out.  🙂

I want to give a quick shout out to the Sublime Hair & Nail Studio in Corning, New York for turning my frumpy mom ponytail into this great new do..  They were absolutely fabulous.  I got an awesome, new hairstyle for a great price and I’m loving it.  You can check them out at www.sublimehairandnailstudio.com.  Ask for Teresa.  You’ll love her.

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video
to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking
about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be
giving us something enlightening to read?
